One of North Park Main
Street’s goals is to embrace and promote
the work of contemporary visual
and cultural artists,
enhance the appreciation for the arts in the community
at large,
and to provide economic stimulation to the North Park neighborhood.
First
established in 1997
as the Spring Festival,
this one-day outdoor event is a showcase for the
entire community
of residents, tourists, art patrons, business sponsors, and fine arts
exhibitors.
The Festival of the Arts is located on University Avenue, which is easily
accessible to Hillcrest,
Downtown, City Heights, Balboa Park, and Mission Valley residents.
The North Park Festival of the Arts is produced by North
Park Main Street
with support from the County of San Diego, and the San Diego Commission of Arts & Culture.

FESTIVAL AWARD
WINNERS
2007 award winners are encouraged to return in 2008. Admittance in
the same category is guaranteed and the $25 application fee is waived. All
other rules apply. Mark this entry form where indicated for acceptance and
waiver: Slides from each winner are kept on file for printing in the next
years program.
APPLICATION
INSTRUCTIONS —SLIDES
1. Send
one (1) slide of booth and three (3) current slides of your work for each
category entered. Digital slides are acceptable. Please submit a CD-ROM
with one (1) high-quality digital picture of booth and three (3)
high-quality digital pictures of works.
2. Slides
must be standard 2”x2” size.
3. Each
slide must be labeled with applicant’s name and size of work, with a red dot
in the lower left hand corner.
4. The
Arts Committee decisions are final.
5. You
may show only in the category in which you are accepted. Only one category
per show per artist is permissible.
6. Slides
of selected artists will be returned after the Festival if requested.
7. Incomplete
applications will not be processed.
8. All
applications must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped, standard size
business envelope.
FEES
Only checks or money orders in US funds payable to North Park Main
Street are acceptable.
Send separate
checks for application and entry fee. Entry fee payment will be
returned to the applicants not selected. Slides and CD-ROMs will be
returned upon request.

REMINDER
1. Include
a self-addressed stamped envelope of business size with 2 first
class stamps for each entry.
2. Application
deadline: postmark 5/1/08.
3. Selection
results will be mailed in April.
